Thought:
Most of us have had a dog or two during our lifetime and will agree that the loving relationship we have or had with them cannot be compared with anything else we gain from life. Even though today I am allergic to dogs, and don’t have one at present, I remember the two dogs from my youth and claim them as one of the greatest friend, hands down.
Growing up in a dysfunctional house where abuse of some kind was always in the works, our dogs were vital to our being able to endure and know that we would be okay. No matter if we were angry, sad, or laughing we could count on that our dogs would know how we felt and shared that moment with us to help us power through or enjoy with us. A time or two, they had moments of heroism and would come between an abuser and the proposed victim and bark and bark and stare them back. Somehow they just knew when we needed them most. Really, who doesn’t love a dog? I am thankful for the ones I had and they will always have a place in my heart as they did when they were near.

The love from a dog cannot be compared,
To the love of anything else we can get anywhere.
If you own a dog you know well, the dog will follow you everywhere,
No matter where you go…the dog will be near.
A dog is great to have around especially if you want to talk; this is a fact
The good thing about this is you might just need someone to listen, and not answer you back.
A dog will stay by your side and be your guide,
Always with a wagging tail, always with an eager heart whether you are happy or want to cry.
They offer their heads and bodies to pet.
Even when friends or families do…the dog will never forget you.
They are loyal and they are there in your time of need,
They will find a place in your heart where their love plants its seeds.
Who doesn’t love a dog and can truly deny,
That a dog is all loving and wise,
A dog will never betray its master no matter what may come your way,
So cherish the special bond you gained and love your dog a little more today.
