Boston Village which has members in the North End and been redefining aging in downtown Boston for over two decades, has launched a new speaker series in conjunction with its 25th anniversary.
On Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 4:00 – 6:00pm, Dr. Christine Ritchie will speak about purposeful aging at the MGH Simches Building, 185 Cambridge Street, Charles River Plaza in Boston.
Aging in place is not inevitable; it requires planning and purpose. Dr. Christine Ritchie, a Professor of Medicine and the Kenneth L. Minaker Chair of Geriatric Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), will present on how to purposefully age by creating habits of activity, habits of connection, and habits of curiosity and learning. She will connect these ideas to well-being in later life. It is never too late to try something new and become a new, adapted version of who you are.
“We are excited to announce Dr. Ritchie as the first in our new Aging in Place, Living Your Best Life @ Home speaker series,” said Melissa Interess, Executive Director, Boston Village. “We are lining up an exciting array of speakers for our new series and look forward to sharing them and all of the other programs and activities Boston Village is hosting to celebrate our 25th year.”
