The North Reading Community Impact Team (CIT) will be sponsoring its eleventh annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4th at Ipswich River Park from 5:00pm-7:30pm. National Night Out is an event focused on strengthening North Reading by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement and first responder partners.
The CIT is seeking professionals, community and youth groups to host resource tables on community programs, resources, safety and law enforcement topics. Table space is free of charge, but an application is required. Final decisions regarding vendors will be made by the National Night Out Committee.
The rain date for the event is Tuesday, August 11th.
All events and attractions are free for guests to attend and participate in including the free BBQ, petting zoo, touch-a-truck, raffles, music, magic and facepainting. Local resources will be available including those for seniors, veterans, adults and children. Elders who need a ride should contact the O’Leary Senior Center at 978-664-5600.
The group is also seeking sponsors for the August 4th event. To learn more on how to be a vendor or sponsor, visit www.northreadingma.gov/CIT and click on “National Night Out” or contact the Community Impact Team at northreadingcit@gmail.com
