Annual Turkey Trot on Thursday

The annual North Reading 5K Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thursday, kicking off at Ipswich River Park.

The race starts at 8 a.m. and travels through the streets of North Reading. Race-day registration starts at 6:45 a.m. All proceeds go to the North Reading High School sports programs.

Participants will be running for the Frederick A. Keyes Memorial Award that is given to the winners of the female and male divisions. Awards are also given to the top three finishers in each age group.

Medals are given to all participants 10 years and younger.

The cost is $25 for adults, $15 for students and $60 for family (four people max).
