Bobby Carpenter Trading Skates For Sneaks to Run Marathon For Denna Laing
Anthony's Pizza hosting event Tuesday in Reading beginning at 4 p.m.

North Reading resident and hockey great Bobby Carpenter is running the Boston Marathon this year with a cause and a friend.
Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza restaurants in Westwood and Reading will host a giveback to support Journey Forward and National Women’s Hockey League player, Denna Laing, who suffered a severe spinal cord injury during a game leaving her paralyzed. Carpenter has partnered with Journey Forward to help support Laing’s goal to participate in the Boston Marathon, in which he will be pushing her.
Carpenter and Laing will be at the Anthony's in Reading Tuesday between 4 and 7 p.m. Anthony’s will donate 20 percent of dine-in and carry out sales all day, from anyone who mentions they are dining to support Journey Forward. Guests are invited to dine-in and participate in a meet-and-greet with Carpenter.
