Ferncroft Country Club Opens to the Public To Raise Money For Victims of the Boston Marathon Bombing
MIDDLETON, Mass.—Affinity Management, owners of Ferncroft Country Club, announced today that the club is accepting tee times from all golfers on May 13 with all of the proceeds going to the One Fund for those impacted by the Boston Marathon bombings.
The group is opening the doors of its for-members-only golf course—Ferncroft Country Club in Middleton, Mass.—to the public on May 13 to raise money for the charity started by Gov. Deval Patrick and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Five of Affinity’s other properties in the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest will also join in with fundraisers that day or the next to support Ferncroft and Boston.
“We are honored to open the doors of our clubs to help the victims of this horrible tragedy,” said Affinity Managing Director Damon DeVito.

Golfers will be able to play on the Ferncroft Country Club’s Robert Trent Jones-designed Championship Course for $125 per person or $500 for a team of four. The first shotgun start will be at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast, golf and lunch included. The second round will kick off at 1 p.m. and will include lunch, golf and hors d’oeuvres.
The Club is also opening up its Par 3 Executive Course to the public for $35. There is no shotgun start for the Par 3 Executive Course.

One hundred percent of green fees from the event at Ferncroft CC, along with those earned at sister courses, will be donated to the One Fund.
