Final School Building Project Information Session Tonight

Final secondary school building project information session tonight at 7 p.m. at the high school

The final high school/middle school building project information session will take place tonight at 7 p.m. at North Reading High School. This is the last opportunity for residents to ask questions and make comments regarding the additional funding required to complete the school as designed. Members of the school administration team and secondary school building committee will present the latest information on the project, including the price tag and tax implications.

Next Monday at 7 p.m., a special town meeting will take place to vote on additional funding for the school project. A quorum of 150 voters is required, so please attend. On Friday, March 22, a special town election will be held to vote on the funding request.

If the additional funding is approved at the special town meeting and election, the building project will proceed and will be completed as designed. If the funding is not approved, the SSBC will be required to work with the architect, owners project manager and construction manager to eliminate critical items from the school. Tonight is your final chance to hear all of the details before the town meeting and election.
