CIT is Accepting Nominations for 2018 Trusted Adult Award

Award recognizes adults who support youth

The North Reading Community Impact Team’s Youth Substance Use Prevention Coalition is now accepting nominations for the 2018 Trusted Adult Award. Drug-Free Communities Grant Director Amy Luckiewicz explained, “As our coalition looks at substance use prevention we cannot underestimate the impact adults have on shaping young people. Adults should be encouraged to be open and available to the town’s youth and know that they can really make a difference by listening and engaging with young people. This award is meant to recognize those individuals who kids see as a go-to person in their lives.” Any individual living or working of the Town of North Reading, of adult age, is eligible. Organizations may not be nominated. Youth of any age through high school may nominate an adult by completing the 2018 Trusted Adult Award Nomination Form and submit it to the Community Impact Team by the Friday, May 11, 2018. Up to 3 winners will be selected based on the nomination form. Winners will be presented with a 2018 Star Award at this year’s Community Impact Team Annual Breakfast this summer. For more information on the award or to receive a nomination form, contact Amy Luckiewicz at coalition@northreadingma.gov or visit www.northreadingma.gov/CIT.
