Comeback Falls Short as Boys Hockey Falls in Overtime

North Reading battled back twice against Boston Latin in the first round of the North Division 2 postseason, but eventually fell 4-3 in overtime.

North Reading came back twice in its North Division 2 boys hockey playoff opener against Boston Latin. The third time, however, the Hornets didn't have the chance to even the score.

After falling behind 2-0 in the first period and 3-2 in the third period, No. 11 North Reading forced overtime. But Boston Latin netted the winner in the extra session, jolting the sixth-ranked team into a quarterfinal match up with defending state champion Wilmington.

With the loss, the Hornets ended their campaign with a record of 10-8-3.
