Community Impact Team Donates Parent Resources to the Library

10 DVD titles are available for parents and community members to check out.

The Community Impact Team (CIT)’s Youth Substance Use Prevention Coalition donated ten DVDs to the Flint Memorial Library. The titles are intended to help families and the community learn more about substance use issues. The Drug-Free Communities Grant Coordinator, Amy Luckiewicz, commented, “We know it’s hard sometimes for parents to get clear information on things like vaping and marijuana. We hope that the community will check these DVDs out from the library and watch them, perhaps, with their kids. They are all very insightful, well-produced, and include a PDF guide if the parent wants more information.”

The donated titles include:

  • Everything You Need to Know About Drugs and the Teen Brain in 22 Minutes
  • Buzz in a Bottle: The Dangers of Caffeine-Spiked Drinks
  • Too Much: The Extreme Dangers of Binge Drinking
  • Brain Scans: Alcohol and the Teenage Brain
  • Marijuana: Does Legal Mean Safe?
  • How Addition Hijacks the Brain
  • Abusing Over-the-Counter Drugs
  • Marijuana: Just the Facts Please
  • Everything you Need to Know About E-Cigarettes, Vaping and Hookahs
  • Top 10 Reasons Not to Drink Alcohol

To check out any of the above titles, please visit the Flint Memorial Library or visit www.flintmemoriallibrary.org.
