Cooling Center Open at Senior Center on Tuesday

The recent high temperatures can be especially tough on the region’s elderly population.

On Tuesday, North Reading Elder Services will have a cooling station set up at the Edith O’Leary Senior Citizen Center until 4 p.m.

Elder services also has fans available for elders who may be experiencing heat related issues at home.

North Reading Police are also asking that you consider checking in on elderly neighbors during this current heat wave, and if they need any assistance contact Elder Services at (978)-664-5600 or an emergency 911 call.

The Senior Center is located at 157 Park Street on top of the common.
