Friends, Family Rally to Raise Money for Beverly Teen
Essex Technical High School freshman Caitlin Daly was struck by a car while crossing Essex Street on Wednesday.

Family, friends, and the community are coming together to help a 15-year-old Beverly girl and her family as she begins the long road to recovery from an accident on Wednesday.
Caitlin Daly, a freshman at Essex Technical High School in Danvers, was struck by a car while crossing Essex Street on Wednesday. She suffered massive trauma to her face and is currently in the ICU at Boston Children’s Hospital.
“The doctors report that Caitlin is going to be OK, but she has a very long road ahead of her,” stated family friend Susana Chilnick. “There will be many surgeries, and an extended period of time in the hospital.”

Chilnick said Meghan is a single mother who has overcome incredible odds and has not left Caitlin’s bedside since the accident.
“Meghan works hard and still struggles financially. She will lose most of her income while caring for her daughter,” Chilnick stated “We can’t let that happen. The holidays are approaching, and together we can bring this family some security - and maybe even a little cheer.”
All of the funds collected will go directly to Meghan to help with Caitlin’s care.
In just over one day, the fundraising campaign has raised nearly $12,000 from over 190 donors.
“ I am in awe of the kindness that everyone has demonstrated to Caitlin and Meghan,” Chilnick stated.
