The Hornets traveled to Newburyport for their opening game on Wednesday. After a scoreless first half, the Hornets came out strong in the second. Tim Russell put a hot shot on the keeper and Colby Maiola took the rebound to the back of the net to put the Hornets up 1-0. But the Clippers tied it up half way through the period and scored again with four minutes left in the game to hand the Hornets a 1-2 loss. More pictures here.
