Hornet Productions Perform at Music Festival

Hornet Productions recently sent a select group of middle school students were chosen to perform in the Massachusetts Music Educations Association (MMEA) Northeast District Junior Festival on Saturday, April 11th. The Boy’s Chorus performed five selections under the direction of Dr. Jamie Hillman, Associate Professor of Music at Gordon College. Held at Lowell High School, the students were accompanied by parent volunteers and North Reading Choral Director Carla Lister. Lister also serves as the K-12 Curriculum Coordinator for Preforming Arts and general music teacher. Over the years, Lister has provided many opportunities for the children to participate similar events and has provided North Reading students with unequivocal support. North Reading parent Sandy Garniss noted, “We owe Mrs. Lister a big thank you for furthering the performing arts programs in North Reading. It was a spectacular concert! I’m so glad my son has the opportunity to participate in something of this high caliber. Congratulations to all of the students of Hornet Productions!
