Hornets Earn No. 4 Seed and Home Playoff Game
North Reading will face Wayland in first-round matchup.
With a 1-2 record after three weeks, the prospects for a home MIAA playoff game didn't look good for North Reading. But the Hornets finished strong, winning their last four games to secure the No. 4 seed in Division 4 North with a 5-2 record. The reward is a first-round playoff game against Dual County League power Wayland, which won the DCL Small title Friday with a win over Bedford.
The Warriors finished 4-3, with no-shame-in-that losses to Lynnfield (6-1), Lincoln-Sudbury (7-0) and Hopkinton (7-0).
