ICYMI: Hornets Football Looks to Take Step Forward

The North Reading Hornets football team is hoping its non-conference success last year extends to Cape Ann Large League play in 2015.

Last year, the Hornets went 0-5 in the league, but still finished with a 5-7 record thanks to its non-conference play.

This year, North Reading starts the season with a non-conference game at Ipswich on Friday, Sept. 11.

The home opener is the following weekend against Hamilton-Wenham.

Another big game on the schedule is the Thanksgiving day contest at home against Lynnfield.
