UPDATED: How Much Snow Fell in North Reading During the Blizzard?

UPDATED at 3:41 a.m. Wednesday: As of 8:25 p.m., North Reading had 29 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service.

UPDATED at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday: The snow is not letting up.

The latest figure from the National Weather Service shows that 27 inches of snow had fallen in North Reading by 1:09 p.m.

That means 8 inches of snow fell since 8:53 a.m -- about two inches of snow per hour.

With more snow expected through this evening, North Reading’s total may easily eclipse 30 inches of snow.

With hours of snow in the forecast, North Reading is well on its way to one of the biggest snowfalls in history.

The National Weather Service said North Reading had 19 inches of snow on the ground from the storm as of 8:53 a.m. Tuesday.
