Martha Melanson Passes Away

Martha R. (Holbert) Melandson, 75, of Medford and formerly of North Reading, died on Tuesday, July 10, at the Glen Ridge Nursing Center in Medford after a lengthy illness.

Born in Boston on June 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Arlyss C. and S. Winnifred (Evelyn) Holbert.

Martha worked as a Technician for EG & G for many years. She was a long time resident of North Reading, she was a member of St. Theresa’s Church and the Loyal Order of Moose in North Reading. Family members include her loving son, Donald Holbert and his wife Susanna of Wilmington; grandchildren, Donald, Jr. and Alexandra Holbert.

Graveside service will be held in Riverside Cemetery in North Reading on Monday, July 23 at 1 p.m. There will be no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice. Arrangements are by the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading. http://www.croswellfuneralhome.com
