National Night Out is Coming Next Tuesday

This community event and BBQ is FREE!

The North Reading Community Impact Team (CIT) will be hosting its annual National Night Out (NNO) on Tuesday, August 1st at Ipswich River Park from 5:30pm-7:30pm. National Night Out is an event focused on strengthening North Reading by encouraging neighborhoods to engage in stronger relationships with each other and with their local law enforcement partners. The goal is to heighten crime‐prevention awareness, build support and participation in local anti‐crime programs, and promote safety issues and resources.

The CIT is pleased to announce that over 20 vendors have committed to the event including, Burbank YMCA, Cervizzi’s Karate, Department of Children and Families, District Attorney Marion Ryan’s Office, Hallmark Health Medical Center, Hood School Parent Association, Mystic Valley Elder Services, Red Cross, and more!

Local town resources include ACT North Reading, Aldersgate support groups, Board of Health, Commission on Disabilities, Elder Services, Flint Memorial Library, North Reading Medical Emergency Response and Emergency Management, NRFD, NRPD, Parks and Recreation Department, Recycling, Veteran Services, Youth Substance Use Prevention Action Team, Youth Services and more!

Additional highlights will include benefits consulting for veterans, identify theft protection for elders, and Lakeside Financial will be offering free child identification kits. Attractions include an obstacle course, bounce house, face painting, and touch-a-truck. An adult substance used education interactive program, In Plain Sight, will be open on the tennis courts. Free raffles will be available at the CIT table. All events, attractions and food are free thanks to our sponsors: Reading Cooperative Bank, Hallmark Health Medical Center and Kid Stuff Amusements. The barbecue is open to all and free!
