North Reading Boys’ Tennis Headed to North Division 3 Final

There were boys' tennis teams with better regular season records and higher seeds in the MIAA North Division 3 tournament, but North Reading has torn their way through the competition and is now on its way to the final. 

North Reading knocked off Triton 4-1 in the semifinal and will take on Weston at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 7 at Rahanis Park in Burlington in the final. 

North Reading went 10-4 in the regular season and was the number 6 seed headed into the tournament.

The Hornets have beaten their opponents 14-1 in tournament. North Reading beat St. Mary’s, the number 3 seed, 5-0 in the quarterfinal. 

Weston finished the regular season at 14-5 and is the number 5 seed. Weston beat Bedford 3-2 in the semifinal.

The winner of the North Division 3 final will play the winner of the South Division 3 tournament on Monday, June 9.
