CIT Offers Public Viewing of If They Had Known
The encore presentation will have a morning and evening viewings.

The North Reading Community Impact Team’s Youth Substance Use Prevention Coalition and K-12 Action Team have partnered to offer two viewings of “If They Had Known”. The documentary follows friends and family of the Sopers from Massachusetts. Clay Soper passed away at the age of 19 following a night of mixing alcohol and medication. Clay went to bed and never woke up. This film is intended to raise awareness related to “recreational” substance use and empower students to never hesitate to ask for help.
The 30-minute film will be available to the community via two public viewings:
Wednesday, November 14th at 8:00am at the Flint Memorial Library Activity Room and
Monday, November 5th at 6:30pm at the High School’s Distance Learning Lab

The viewing will be followed by an open question and answer session hosted by the town’s Mental Health/Substance Abuse Clinician Laura Miranda and Drug-Free Communities Grant Director Amy Luckiewicz. Resources and help related to all substances will be available.
The documentary has already been presented to all students in grades 11 and 12 at the High School, and students are welcome to attend these viewings. To view a trailer, please visit www.iftheyhadknown.com. To register, please visit www.northreadingma.gov/CIT and click on EVENTS.
