North Reading Cultural Council Awarded Grant

The money is part of the Massachusetts Cultural Council's statewide funding initiative.

The North Reading Cultural Council has been awarded a Local Cultural Council Program grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council for $4,300.

The money was part of the MCC’s statewide funding initiative.

“I am pleased the MCC has afforded the North Reading Cultural Council the opportunity to continue the amazing work they do to bring the arts to the residents of North Reading,” said Rep. Bradley H. Jones Jr. “This funding will help continue the ongoing outreach initiative and success of the Cultural Council here in North Reading.”

“The Local Cultural Councils comprise the most extensive public cultural funding network in the nation. They continue to provide funding to every Massachusetts city and town through 329 local councils and more than 2,300 volunteers,” according to the press release from Jones’ office.

“Cultural Councils do important work that drives our creative economy and benefits our quality of life,” said Sen. Bruce Tarr. “This grant reflects a partnership between a state government making a good investment and North Reading residents putting that investment to work in response to local priorities.”
