North Reading Firefighters Come to Aid of Ducklings
Some ducklings have North Reading first responders to thank for a recent rescue.

North Reading’s firefighters recently proved that their services are available for more than just human residents.
On Tuesday, local firefighters, police officers and animal control headed to the area of 94 Main St., for a report of ducklings stuck in a storm drain. The ducklings had become stuck in a pipe between two drains, according to a statement on the North Reading Firefighters Union page on Facebook.
Firefighters used a hose to flush the ducklings to the end of the pipe where rescuers could pluck them out.
