North Reading High Girls' Soccer Headed to MIAA Tournament Semifinals
The Hornets knocked off top-seeded Newburyport.

The North Reading High School girls’ soccer team beat top-seeded Newburyport in overtime, 1-0, in the MIAA North Division 3 tournament on Wednesday.
The Hornets are now headed for a semifinal match-up against Swampscott. Swampscott, which is the fifth seeded team in the tournament, has beaten Bedford and Stoneham.
The Hornets, which finished the regular season at 10-6-2, is the number nine seed.

The semifinal game is at 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 10 at Manning Field in Lynn. The winner will take on the winner of Triton-Lynnfield for the title game on Nov. 15.
Third-seeded Lynnfield is the highest seeded team left in the tournament. The top two seeds, Newburyport and Bishop Fenwick, have already been knocked out of the tourney.
