
North Reading won its 14th game Friday night, beating Saugus, 3-1, in a nonleague boys' hockey game.
With the win the Hornets improved to 14-1-3. Saugus fell to 9-6-4. The game was originally scheduled for Monday but was moved because of the snow storm.
Next up for the Hornets is a Presidents Day matchup with Sandwich (4-11-2) in the first round of the Jeff Hayes Memorial Tournament at Gallo Arena in Bourne. The title game is Tuesday. Oliver Ames plays Lowell Catholic in the other half of the tournament.
