North Reading Man Arrested for Allegedly Shooting Truck With an Arrow

Peter Walk is due in Woburn District Court on Monday.

A North Reading man was arrested for assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on Friday night after he allegedly shot a pickup truck driven by a 16-year-old with an arrow.

Police were called to Strawberry Lane at 10:45 p.m. on Friday night where they met the driver of a black pickup truck who said that while he was driving, someone shot the truck with an arrow, hitting and flattening his tire.

After an investigation, police arrested Peter Walk, 54, of North Reading and charged him with assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Police questioned several people before they located Walk. According to to police, he allegedly used a compound bow to shoot the truck with an arrow. Walk then allegedly assaulted the driver.

There is no word on a possible motivation for the assault, according to police.

Walk will be arraigned in Woburn District Court on Monday.
