North Reading Man Charged With OUI In U-Haul Van: Wellesley PD
The van was caught by police swerving lanes.
WELLESLEY, MA — A North Reading man was arrested in Wellesley on Thursday and charged with driving while intoxicated. The man was stopped by police on Worcester Street near Cliff Road.
According to police the man was driving a U-Haul down Worcester Street when officers on patrol noticed the van swerving in and out of the lane, driving on the white, dotted line and swerving into the break-down lane, according to police
When officers stopped the man, they said he had bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol. The man agreed to take field sobriety tests and officers said he failed to complete them. Officers added that the man's speech was slurred and he was unsteady on his feet.
