North Reading Police Arrest Burglary Suspect
23-year-old man charged with break-in on Freedom Drive home.

NORTH READING – A 23-year-old North Reading man was arrested this weekend for burglary according to Police Chief Michael P. Murphy.
John D. Braga is charged with Aggravated Burglary.
On Sunday, June 10, at approximately 4:46 a.m., North Reading Police received a 911 call from a resident reporting a breaking and entering in progress at a home on Freedom Drive.

North Reading Police responded to the scene along with Reading Police, Wilmington Police and Massachusetts State Police. After setting up a perimeter, police learned that the suspect had already fled.
Based on an initial investigation, police were able to identify Braga as a suspect and located him at an apartment complex in Lawrence where he was eventually placed under arrest by North Reading Police detectives.

Braga was booked at the North Reading Police station and released on $500 cash bail yesterday afternoon. He is scheduled to be arraigned at Woburn District Court Monday.
Police do not believe this incident was a random act.
