North Reading Police Investigating Break-in on Gould Street
Police are asking for the public's help.

North Reading Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the person or persons who broke into a Gould Road home last Thursday.
The residents returned home to find that someone had forced their way into a home through a first-floor window. Cash and jewelry were stolen.
Police are investigating the break-in and they’re asking for the public’s help.

“Anyone who may have during the day witnessed any suspicious people or vehicles in the area of south Main Street, Park Street, Gould Road, Damon Street on last Thursday, November 6th, is asked to contact North Reading Police Detectives at (978)-357-5046, or you can remain anonymous by calling our “Anonymous Crime & Drug Tip Line” at (978)-657-TIPS, or by texting “NRPD” and the tip to 847411,” said police.
North Reading Police said the next several months is the time when they often see daytime burglaries.

“There are few things that more intrusive then someone entering your home, going through your personal belongings and stealing them. The next several months are when we statistically experience the most daytime, residential, burglaries.
“Take precautions, lock your doors and first floor windows.
“If you see someone or a vehicle in your neighborhood that seems out of place or is suspicious, please contact NRPD right away, we want you to call so that we can check on them.
“Give consideration to an exterior home surveillance system. These systems are now relatively inexpensive, are easy to set up and not only deter thieves but are invaluable to police during burglary, larceny and vandalism investigations. Remember to back up valuable data, digital images (personal photos) and personal files to “Cloud Storage” or flash drive to prevent losing them in the event of a burglary or fire.”
