Police Chief Michael P. Murphy is pleased to announce the following promotions:

“These three individuals represent the finest values of law enforcement and we continue to have very high expectations for them in their new roles,” Chief Murphy said. “Congratulations to Sergeant McAuliffe, SRO Tilton, Detective Donle, and each of their families. They should be very proud!”
New Sergeant Michael McAuliffe has been a member of the North Reading Police Department since 1994 and was advanced to Detective in December 2007.
New School Resource Officer Scott Tilton has been with the department since 1988. He has also been the department’s Safety Officer since 1996. Officer Tilton was the NRPD Officer of the Year in 2009.
New Detective Kevin Donle has been a Full Time North Reading Police Officer since August of 2002. He was a Reserve Patrol Officer for three years prior to being hired full time. He has previously served as the department’s school resource officer.
