North Reading Resident Could Face Sox Thursday

The Red Sox begin their spring training schedule Thursday and imagine this scenario: Dustin Pedroia at bat with North Reading resident and Northeastern senior Mike Driscoll on the mound.

Driscoll graduated from St. John's Prep in 2013. He had a 1.24 ERA with 20 strikeouts in 17 innings in his final year with St. John's. At Northeastern he's already pitched once against the Red Sox and allowed just one hit and one run against the Red Sox on March 3, 2015.

He's made 12 mound appearances in his career, including one this spring against Southern Mississippi. The Red Sox open against Northeastern Thursday.
