North Reading High School participated in the WGBH High School Quiz Show on Sunday, November 16, 2014. The High School Quiz Show is an award-winning single-elimination academic team competition for high school students in both public and private schools in Massachusetts. After an application process, only one hundred twenty teams were allowed to compete at the WGBH studios in Brighton. The 100-question oral quiz involved literature, science, current events, history, mathematics and geography. For a third year in a row, the team comprised of the following Seniors: Joseph Tramontozzi, Nicholas Phillips, Jackie Lanzaro, Alex McGeachie, Jake O'Connell and Meg Carlo. The team was coached by High School Teacher Evan Noce.The NR team scored over one hundred points higher this year. Mr. Tramontozzi said that the team practiced individually and together over the past few months. Only the top sixteen teams will advance and appear on the televised show.

The Artisan Market at the Mills is the largest handmade market in North Andover, featuring ~120 artisans and specialty food vendors from all over New England. The 2026 Artisan Market will be held on Sunday, May 31st from 10-3 and is a rain or shine event. The Market will be held in the parking lot behind the West Mill at 50 High St. Ample parking is available directly across the street in the East Mill parking garage. Admission to the market and parking are both FREE. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome!Plenty of food and fun activities for families!

The Temple Emanuel Sisterhood invites the community to Mah Jongg Madness, an afternoon of friendly competition, connection, and fun for Mah Jongg players of all experience levels. 
Open to the public, this community event will feature Mah Jongg play, prizes, table rotations, and opportunities to socialize with friends—both old and new. To encourage engagement and friendly competition, players of varying skill levels will be mixed and tables will rotate throughout the afternoon. Instructions on rules, scoring, and movement will be provided at check-in, along with a brief overview before play begins. Light refreshments will be served.COST:
