Obituary: Gregory 'Greg' H. Brown, 51, of North Reading
Greg was employed as an accountant for State Street Financial in Boston and was a member of the Boston Gay Men's Chorus.

Gregory “Greg” H. Brown, 51, of North Reading and formerly of Lynn, died early Wednesday afternoon at Massachusetts General Hospital surrounded by his loving family and partner following a brief illness.
Born in Lynn, he was the son of Katherine (Pavlis) Brown of Lynn and the late Harry Brown. He was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn English High School, class of 1981. He continued his education at UMass Amherst and received his bachelor’s degree in 1985.

Greg was employed as an accountant for State Street Financial in Boston for the past 8 years and had previously worked for Cabot, Cabot, & Forbes, The Druker Company, and AEW Capital Management companies, all in Boston.
Greg was very active in the church community at St. George’s Church in Lynn and St. Vasilios Church in Peabody. While at St. George’s, he was a member of the Board of Directors, Parish Council, and was a Chanter, and at St. Vasilios, he taught Sunday school and volunteered for the Greek Festival.

Greg enjoyed gardening and listening to Greek music and while in high school, he played the clarinet and was a member of the Lynn Public Schools Senior Band. He also was a member for one year for the UMass Amherst Marching Band. He enjoyed singing and was a member of the Boston Gay Men’s Chorus.
Besides his loving mother, he is survived by his sister, Virginia Brown of Maynard, his devoted partner Christopher Tosches of North Reading and formerly of Framingham and by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
His Funeral Service will be held on Monday at noon at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody to which relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4 until 8 p.m. and burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn.
