Obituary: Patricia M. (Collins) Rollfs, 49, of North Reading

Patty worked as a Physical Therapist for 25 years at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge.

Patricia M. (Collins) Rollfs, 49, of North Reading and formerly of Allston, died peacefully at her home on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Cambridge, MA on Nov. 10, 1964, she was a graduate of St. Anthony’s School in Allston, Mount St. Joseph Academy in Brighton and Northeastern University in Boston.

Patty worked as a Physical Therapist for 25 years at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge. She has been a resident of North Reading for the past 25 years and was a member of St. Michael Parish in North Andover.

She was a volunteer at her children’s school, she also enjoyed gardening, baking and cooking. She loved Mashnee Island and her dog, Maybelline.

Family members include her loving mother, Helen (Roache) Collins of Abington and Allston and her late father, Cornelius J. Collins. Her beloved husband of 24 years, Eric W. Rollfs; her cherished children, Mark, Dennis and Ellen Rollfs, all of North Reading; her brother, Jim Collins and his wife Denyse of Wilmington; sisters, Catherine Sutherland and her husband Gene of Burlington and Helen Anne Cowan of Abington; she was sister-in-law to, Judi and Frank Green, Bud and Sue Rollfs, Deb and Jeff Wizig and the late Gretchen and Rodney Snyder; she was the devoted aunt of 21 nieces and nephews.

Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Parish, 196 Main St., in North Andover. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to in her memory to: Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, 41 Mall Road, Burlington, MA 01805, c/o Oncology Dept., or to, American Cancer Society, PO Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Arrangements are by Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow St., North Reading.
