North Reading Police asking for information, provide tips.

A resident from the Pine Ridge Road area reported that several packages that were delivered by UPS at 3:43pm on Thursday, Dec. 3 are missing and presumed to be stolen. If anyone has any information related to suspicious activity on Thursday in the Pine Ridge Road area, including vehicles or people, let the police department know.

North Reading police have received multiple reports of suspicious vehicles and people over the past several days throughout town. Police ask that residents be vigilant and contact them if you see someone or a vehicle that seems suspicious in your neighborhood. Police officials state that they know that package thefts are on the rise throughout the area due to the increase in holiday deliveries.

Police have also learned that major delivery companies may be using trucks with no company signage due to the large holiday increases in deliveries, this includes rental vehicles and U-Haul type trucks.
