Police Log: High Carbon Monoxide Levels at Middle School

Monday, Jan. 6

At 8:13 a.m., police received several calls about a loose dog in the Pine Ridge Road are. Animal control tried to capture the dog, but it ran away.

At 2:29 p.m., a teacher at the Hood School notified police that she found the dog from the earlier incident and asked for police to help her take it to the vet.

At 7:09 p.m., a Laurel Road resident reported a charge of $145 on his wife’s debit card statement. The charge was from a compounding company in Newton. The person’s bank is going to investigate.

Tuesday, Jan. 7

At 10:35 a.m., someone dropped off a dog to police that was found on Main Street.

At 11:04 a.m., police and fire responded to North Reading Middle School after high carbon monoxide readings at the school. Firefighters were able to clear the carbon monoxide from the school and students returned to their classrooms.
