Police Warn Public After Fox Attacks Small Dog
The attack happened on Park Street east near Angelwood Lane.

North Reading Police are reporting that a fox attacked a small dog on Park Street east near Angelwood Lane.
The fox took the small dog into the wood line. Police responded and looked for the dog, but officers were unable to find it. Animal Control is investigating the incident.

“Based on similar reports, it is suspected that the fox may live somewhere between Anglewood and Fairbanks Lanes. Residents with small pets should take precautions to protect their pets while outside.
“Animal complaints that do not pose an immediate threat to the public should be directed to the North Reading Animal Control Office at (978)-664-3807. Incidents that pose a risk to public safety should be reported to NRPD by calling (978)-664-3131 or 911 in an emergency.”
