Ray Woods Passes Away

Raymond B. Woods, 81, of North Reading and formerly of Stoneham, died Tuesday, Feb. 27 at Winchester Hospital.

Born in Boston on October 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Raymond B., Sr. and Norma M. (Broderick) Woods. He was raised in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School. Ray later served in the National Guard.

Ray was a former Custodian for the North Reading School System for many years, he worked at the Batchelder, Murphy and Hood Schools, he has been retired for the past 15 years. Ray enjoyed walking and spending his free time at the North Reading Fire Department.

Family members include his sister, Jean Sweigart and his brother, Warren T. Woods.
