So You Think You Can Write?

Local author to discuss how to publish your book, and more, at the Flint Memorial Library.

So You Think You Can Write?
You’ve written a book, but it’s languishing in your desk drawer. Well, take it out and let’s publish it.

Publishing has never been easier than it is right now in 2015.

Let local author Nancy Parsons tell you how to get your book from your mind to the masses in a self-publishing talk on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. in the activity room of the Flint Memorial Library.

She’ll be joined by local authors Karen Till Vitale, Nancy Bailey Miller and Dana Owen.

Parsons will talk about what self-publishing is, how to do it and how to market your book. There is no registration necessary for this program, which is sponsored by the Friends of the Flint Memorial Library.

Special Saturdays
Saturdays are even more special at the library this year, with a series of great events for children. On February 7, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Animal World Experience will visit the library.

Children will have a chance to meet animals from all over the world.

There will also be a My Little Dumpling Story and Song Time for children aged newborn to three-years-old (and older siblings) from 3 to 4 p.m. that afternoon. In addition to stories and songs, there will be snacks and playtime for the kids.

All You Need Is Love
The Flint Memorial Library’s Children’s Room will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Saturday, February 14 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. This pre-school-aged activity will feature crafts and snacks for your little Valentine.

This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Flint Memorial Library and the Moms & Tots of North Reading.
