ICYMI: Spread the Warmth for the Holidays

North Reading Masonic Lodge and the town's veterans department are collecting coats for the community and veterans.

Almost everyone has a coat they no longer use.

This holiday season, why not make sure it goes to someone who could really use it?

The North Reading Masonic Lodge and the town’s veterans department are holding a coat collection for veterans and the North Reading community this month.

The organizations are looking for donations of clean, gently used coats, scarves, and gloves. The overflow of coats will go to help homeless veterans and their families.

The drop off locations and times are on Saturday, Dec. 5 and 12 at the Masonic Lodge on 283 Park Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Thursday, Dec. 3 and 10 at the North Reading Veterans Department at Town Hall from 1 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For those in need, the coats will be available on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 12:30 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge.
