Trash Pickup Planned on Wednesday Morning

The town asks that residents don't put out the trash and recycling until 6 a.m. Wednesday because storm cleanup operations are ongoing.

From North Reading Police Department:

Storm cleanup operations are expected to continue overnight and into tomorrow.

Curbside trash and recycling collection will occur tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 28. Due to the potential need for additional plowing and/or widening of streets overnight, residents are asked to place trash and recycling at the end of their driveway between 6 and 7 a.m. on Wednesday.

Residents are reminded that the winter parking ban will be in effect for the duration of the storm. Please remove all vehicles from public rights-of-way to allow for snow removal operations.

Blocked vents can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning in the home. Residents are advised to check all heating, appliance, and generator vents to ensure they are clear of snow.

Residents and property owners are asked to assist in cleaning snow from fire hydrants, catch basins and sidewalks.
