Worst Treat Ever in North Reading?

Handing out toothbrushes or coupons is one thing, but according to North Reading police, one home in the Olde Farm Lane area took handing out non-candy treats to another level on Halloween night on Saturday.

Police sent out a parental warning on Saturday night informing parents that a residence in the area of Olde Farm Lane had left out children’s cough syrup samples for kids who were trick or treating.

Police recovered the box and identified the cough syrup, which is pictured above.

If your kids were trick or treating in the area on Saturday night, police officials said to check to make sure they did not take any of the samples.
