Youth Services Seeks Teen Bands

In response to requests from North Reading High School teens, the Youth Services Department is again hosting the Battle of the Bands on Friday, May 27 at the Moose Lodge. The 9th Annual Event is open to all high school bands. Each band must pre-register for the event with a maximum of 8 bands to be featured. “This is being coordinated by a pretty great group of teens. We meet each Thursday and they get to make all the decisions,” explained Youth Services Director Amy Luckiewicz. “We’re already planning the details so we want to make sure that teens get their registrations in early.” The group is also seeking volunteers to help plan and run the event.
