15 Violent Crimes in Norton in 2015: Feds

Newly released FBI data showed Norton had 15 violent crimes last year.

NORTON, MA — New federal data shows there were 15 violent crimes in Norton in 2015. That figure is up from four in 2014.

Statewide, violent crimes were up slightly, though murders and rapes were down.

The data is from the FBI's latest Uniform Crime Report, which measured violent crime across the country in 2015. This is Norton's data:

These statistics inform law enforcement in budgeting and resource allocation decisions; they also influence anti-crime legislation.
