2,000+ In Norton Without Power Monday
A switch problem at the Norton Center substation caused some to lose power again Monday morning.

NORTON, MA β Less than half of Norton is now without power, according to MEMA. The outage map showed 2,915 outages β 38 percent of customers β as of 7:30 a.m. Norton Public Schools canceled classes Monday but the superintendent's office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
According to the Norton Fire and Rescue Department, a switch problem at the Norton Center substation caused some to lose power again on Monday. The department said power should be returning shortly in a Facebook update around 7 a.m.
At their peak, outages were in the 4,000s Monday morning.
