4-H Babysitters' Training

The 4-H Babysitters Training Course teaches youth ages 11 and older what they need to know to be caring, trustworthy, responsible and competent babysitters. The 2 session course includes units on:

Safety
First Aid
Child Development
Nutrition
Entertaining Children
Business of Babysitting


Registration and payment of $35 per participant (which includes the 4-H Babysitting Manual) is required in advance, at the Library front desk. Checks should be made payable to Norfolk County 4-H Advisory Council. Registration begins April 1 at the Library; we cannot accept registration for events by phone or email.

Participants must attend both four hour sessions to complete the course. Upon completing the 8 hours of training each participant will receive a wallet sized certification ID card, a 4-H Babysitter's Manual and a certificate for attending the course.
