With Rhode Island’s housing market showing signs of recovery, Bank Rhode Island (BankRI) announced today they are bolstering their team of mortgage professionals; hiring Jason Silva as its new Mortgage Specialist.
Jason comes to BankRI with more than 12 years of experience in the mortgage industry; specializing in Fannie Mae and FHA loans. In his new role, he will be responsible for originating mortgage loans while providing tailored mortgage products to meet the financial needs and personal goals of the bank’s customers. Prior to joining BankRI, Jason worked at DMC, Inc. and Mortgage Amenities.
“In recent months, BankRI has been fortunate to experience an increase in the number of customers seeking home mortgage loans and related products,” said Steven M Parente, Senior Vice President and Director of Retail Banking at BankRI. “We’re excited to welcome Jason to our talented team of mortgage professionals – his experience and knowledge of the industry will be of great benefit to the bank’s existing and potential customers.”

Silva holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Resource Management from Rhode Island College and lives in Norton, Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters. He is an avid musician who enjoys singing, song-writing, and playing the guitar, and is an active volunteer with his daughters’ Girl Scout Troop.
