Karen Custodio to lead EPOCH of Norton’s wellness team

NORTON—EPOCH of Norton has hired Karen Custodio as their wellness director.  

Custodio has worked at EPOCH of Norton since September 2001. She began as a night nurse and was promoted to supervisor. In March 2007, she became the assistant director of nursing services. 

Prior to joining the EPOCH team, Custodio worked as a telemetry nurse and nursing supervisor at Symmes Hospital in Arlington and as a certified nursing assistant at the Hebrew Rehabilitation Center in Roslindale. Her first job in health care was working as a private duty aid for a senior in Belmont.

Custodio said watching her dad care for aging grandparents when she was a kid inspired her as a health care professional.

“The compassion, patience, respect, love and understanding that I have for the aging adult and their families come from a true understanding as experienced in my own family,” she said.
