Norton Native Running 2013 Boston Marathon to Raise Funds for Joe Andruzzi Foundation

Norton’s own Margo Pacheco comes out of “marathon retirement” to take on the incredible challenge of running the 117th Boston Marathon on April 15. She will be running as a part of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation marathon team, and will also be running in honor of her mother who is bravely fighting breast cancer.

By participating on behalf of “Team JAF”, runners are raising money to aid the Foundation, which was established by former New England Patriots offensive guard and cancer survivor Joe Andruzzi and his wife, Jen.

The Foundation vows to tackle cancer’s impact by providing financial assistance for patients and their families, as well as raising money for pediatric brain cancer research. Like the Andruzzi family, and many of the other runners, Margo has seen the negative effects of cancer as her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, and aims to support the great cause by raising $5,000
