Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Norton

On Thursday, May 9th, at approximately 8:30pm, Norton Police Patrolman Kevin Schleicher Jr. stopped a motor vehicle on Taunton Avenue due to a number plate violation.  After speaking with the operator of the vehicle, Heather Harvey, age 20, of Taunton, Ptlm. Schleicher discovered that Marijuana was present in the vehicle.  Harvey was subsequently placed under arrest.  

Sgt. John Eisnor and Ptlm. John Chmielinski assisted Schleicher with the arrest.  Officers confiscated more than two ounces of Marijuana and other drug paraphernalia.  Harvey was charged with:

Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana) with Intent to Distribute; and Number Plate Violation

Harvey was released and will appear in the Attleboro District Court on Friday, May 10, 2013.
